A few wines to try?
I haven’t updated this in a while and I was just having a glass of wine and thought maybe I should post something about wines. Here’s 4 that I’ve tried recently that I thought were good and aren’t on the too-expensive side.
Oldbury Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2010 – From down my way at Southern Highlands Wines. This was one of two Sauv’s that won a gold medal at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit comp – The other was from Marlborough, NZ which is a given.
Mount Michael Sauvignon Blanc 2010 – Everyone drinks Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough now, but this one is real good.
Barwick Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 – From Western Australia, their White Label range. Nice tannins, a little oaky – Great with a BBQ.
Tyrone Estate 3 Generations Shiraz 2007 – I love shiraz, and this is a really smooth, full bodied one. Well rounded with a long finish. Good value.
Anyway, back to mine.
